Initial Consultation

We begin with a focused consultation to understand your goals, priorities, timeline, and the scope of work. Design fees are reviewed before work begins so expectations are clear.

At the first meeting, we discuss your design objectives, expectations, and specific project requirements. Whether it is new construction, a large-scale remodel, a retail or restaurant concept, or a smaller living makeover, our services offer a structured process tailored to each project.

Formal Proposal

You receive a formal proposal outlining the scope of work and design fees associated with the project. We also review broad design direction, reference imagery, and estimated project costs.

• Confirm project scope, design services, and next steps.
• Review design-fee expectations before the project moves forward.
• For kitchen, bath, and closet projects, professional design fees are generally built into cabinet pricing when product is purchased through Arcuo. If product is not purchased, hourly design fees apply and drawings are not provided.
• Cabinet planning uses dedicated design tools and 3D modeling technology. Cabinet design is a specialized field that requires technical expertise and practical experience.

Design Development, Drawings & Specifications

1. Signing of Letter of Agreement
2. Prepare concept plans, layouts, furniture plans, finish samples, and colour direction.
3. Meet with contractors and gather labour quotes. Input from building professionals helps identify site conditions such as load-bearing walls.
4. Review contractor pricing, budgets, and timelines in detail.
5. Assist with reviewing contractor bids for accuracy and completeness.
6. Order cabinetry and custom items when approved, and submit purchase orders for interior finishes and furnishings so items arrive on schedule.
7. Provide a detailed final drawing package for the client and general contractor.

Construction Support & Completion

• Project monitoring and design budget updates throughout the process
• Receipt of items and communication with your selected trades
• Site reviews as required to confirm work follows the client-approved design
• Answer contractor questions and help resolve issues related to site or unforeseen conditions
• Final styling and client closure meeting
